ABOUT

Our culture

Defined by our unwavering commitment to serving the Australian public interest, our culture fosters a workplace of integrity and collaboration, and honouring First Nations perspectives in every endeavour.

At Scyne, our culture is the bedrock of our commitment to Australia's public interest.
We are a team driven by integrity, collaboration, and a deep respect for the diverse communities we serve, including a profound honouring of First Nations perspectives.
Our vision is to help build more resilient, secure, equitable and prosperous communities.
Guided by our values:

Amplify Impact

Purpose and passion are at our core. We value what we know and invest in that every day. Client focus is central and we are proud of the work we do.

Build Trusted Relationships

Our relationships are open, frank and fearless. Trust comes from our care and taking time to understand. Our focus is on how we work as well as what we do.

Stronger Together

Working as a team, we are stronger through the connections we have. They are based on respect and trust. By collaborating to solve problems we create shared value and success.

Value Every Person

Respect is the foundation of how we work with each other.
We encourage debate and diversity of views. We are different but equal.

Think Beyond Limits

We embrace a spirit of creativity and are curious in how we explore new ideas. We challenge how we have ‘always done things’. Learning is key to this, both from experience and in staying ahead of the issues facing our clients.

Defined by Ethics

Honesty, integrity and ethical behaviour are non-negotiables. We do what is right, not what is easy. Our clients and teams are clear on where the boundaries are.
Our vision for reconciliation
The 2023 Australian referendum on the Voice to Parliament was a pivotal moment in our nation’s reconciliation journey. The result highlighted the work still to be done and reinforced the importance of meaningful action. At Scyne, we acknowledge the enduring strength, wisdom, and resilience of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and commit to advancing reconciliation in tangible and meaningful ways. Reconciliation is more than a commitment - it’s a vision for the future we want to help shape.
We envisage an Australia where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, cultures, and histories are valued as an integral part of our national identity. A future where equity, respect and opportunity exist for all, and where reconciliation is lived through deep relationships, shared understanding, and meaningful action.
Scyne's first Innovate RAP was launched in February 2026. This RAP demonstrates Scyne's commitment to reconciliation across Australia.
Advancing our vision is supported by three pillars:
A Culturally Safe and Inclusive Organisation
We are committed to creating a workplace where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples feel respected, heard, and empowered. By fostering cultural capability, inclusive leadership, and deep respect for First Nations knowledge, we embed reconciliation into how we work every day.
Delivering Meaningful and Lasting Outcomes
As public purpose specialists, we have the ability - and responsibility - to drive real change. We will work alongside Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to create tangible opportunities in employment, economic participation and leadership, ensuring reconciliation translates into action.
Strong and Enduring Partnerships
Reconciliation is built on relationships.
We commit to forming genuine, local partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, businesses and clients to listen, learn and co-design solutions that support self-determination and long-term impact.
Stronger Together © 2025 by Amy Allerton, Gumbaynggirr, Bundjalung and Gamilaroi artist
At the heart of the artwork lies a set of core values that place people and community first. This heart represents a space where every person is respected, diverse perspectives are encouraged, and equality is fostered. Strength is found in genuine connection - in working together and trusting one another.
The heart is a safe and inclusive environment where First Nations peoples feel heard, valued and empowered to lead with confidence.
Flowing outwards are the relationships that sustain these values. Pathways and meeting places reflect collaboration, openness and unity, showing how trusted relationships are built through honesty, listening and understanding. Genuine partnerships are not transactions, they are spaces of co-design - where people walk together in truth to create solutions with long-term impact.
The next layer expresses reconciliation as a living practice. It honours the knowledge, histories and cultures of First Nations peoples, recognising the interconnectedness of people and Country. It speaks to the shared responsibility of preserving culture, speaking truth and honouring the ancient wisdom that has echoed for over 65,000 years. Reconciliation is shown not as symbolism, but as action - a shared commitment to change.
The final layer is the mission that unites us and drives us forward: supporting the growth of resilient, secure and prosperous communities across the nation. It represents a diverse ecosystem of people working together to make a difference - many hands, many voices, one journey - stronger when we walk together.
#BalanceTheScales
This International Women’s Day, we embrace the theme “Balance the Scales” and we spoke to four women across Scyne to hear their thoughts on what the theme means to them, practical actions we can all undertake to create genuine change and the hope they have to achieve equality.
